10 Business Lessons From Tibetan Monks!
I love reading about the brain, I want to understand more about this incredible asset. The more I can understand, the more I believe that you can inspire others and as importantly - yourself. (Two podcasts that I would recommend on this area is the interview with Dr Ellen Weber Part 1 / Part 2 and also the one with Dr John Medina)
I was reading about how Tibetan Monks have actually learned how to control their emotion 100%. Wow - imagine if leaders could learn from this! Here are some tips
- When you lose, don't lose the lesson
- Follow the 3 R's - Respect for self, respect for others, responsibility for all of your actions.
- Spend some time alone every day.
- Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.
- Love as if you've never been hurt.
- Share your knowledge. It's a way to achieve immortality.
- Once a year, go somewhere you have never been before.
- Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck.
- Don't let a little dispute ruin a great friendship.
- Open your arms to change but don't let go of your values.
